On Monday, 5 May, we had 16 students from Y4-8 represent Renwick School at the regional Chesspower tournament.
I was very impressed with the way the team respected the requirements, rules and routines of the day. Each player played 7 rounds, 15-minute rounds, as they worked their way to the prize-giving to learn how they went. Leo and Cooper qualified for the National Chess tournament in Auckland. Well done, boys.
Well done to all players and special mention to the following for their great results.
